My inherent contradictions in my colourful creations sway between a love of pattern, abstraction, nature and the human psyche.
A playful enthusiasm for creating and a formal education in the Arts also influence my work.
Central Metropolitan College Perth is where I studied Theatre Arts and a diploma of Arts (Art and Design)
Most of my eclectic working life was in Theatre in Sydney and soon after I became a Mother I returned to my hometown of Perth, abandoned oil paint and began to create with acrylics.
I have since participated in numerous group shows and my artworks reside in homes across Australia, New Zealand, Europe and recently the USA.
I am an introvert extrovert ~ I am an artist
I like to spend time alone
I don’t like being indoors all day
Time spent in nature is never a waste of time
I struggle with routine
I am easily distracted by loveliness and fun
There are never enough hours in the day for play
I am loaded with contradictions
I am compelled to create
I want more time to dream
