Emanuele Tozzoli discovered painting early. Born in Italy, and with a father who was both a sculptor and painter, by the age of seven Emanuele had created his first small sculpture by assembling objects he found around him. Soon after he also painted his first informal abstracts, discovering his fascination with the creative liberalism of art.
Tozzoli is moved by the intimate nature of artistic research, which extends to other disciplines such as music and interiors. His artistic pursuits influence one another, and Tozzoli went on to learn the restoration of antique wood working, decorating and mural restoration with the Turin art master Silvio Scarafiotti. This diversity of skill refined Tozzoli’s skills, where he experiments with the property’s peculiarities of colour and composition.
He states, “I journey through archetypes, visions and memories of childhood. I use an instinctive and visceral workflow, to set the subconscious loose, using a recurring symbology. Each work is the result of a primitive flow where the painting becomes the materialization of a dreamlike interior world.”
In 2018 Emanuele signed a contract with the historic Galleria Accorsi, which boasts works of museum excellence by Eduard Manet and Lucio Fontana. The same year, he also signed a contract with the Saphira and Ventura Gallery in New York, which has featured works by timeless masters such as Warhol, Pollock and Kahlo.
