Megan Puls – Mangrove
September 9th - October 7th, 2017
Ceramics have formed a part of our history for 1000’s of years.
All ceramics are used in our everyday life from sculptural pieces to our everyday bowl.
I’m part of that being.
The makers mark.
Not alone – on my own.
When developing a block of work – in my minds eye – snippets are recorded in each piece mimicking nature – all colours and shapes are provided by nature.
Then created by me into uniqueness –
Ceramic materials are chosen to give a degree of differentness and uniqueness – these form the canvas to create.
Inspiration grows as your work develops – inspired by the wetlands – mangrove swamps – rust – ebbtide – ocean – sand – birds – silt – all things found.
Work place/space – a sense of place/space, a void that is created to create – balance – harmony – tranquility – objectivity – purpose – instinct.
A place/space of belonging to – inner being –
Future – create – beyond
Making today a perfect day – all day – everyday.
