Having had two sell-out exhibitions in Sydney (March 2010) and Perth (June 2010) Johnny’s exhibition at 19 Karen will be an event not to be missed. Romeo has also sold well over 80 works this year alone, with the price of his work nearly doubling under the national demand.
Romeo’s solo show ‘Spiderbait’ explores his impressionable childhood fantasies of super-human heroes, menacing villains and pop-culture personalities that have shaped him into the mass-media absorbent artist he is today.
Romeo said he had been inspired by the recent event of 1580 superheroes gathering in LA to break the Guinness World Record for the number of heroes in one location.
