ARTIST STATEMENT:
These paintings explore the concept of recall memory. Recall in memory refers to the mental process of retrieval of information from the past. When we experience meeting someone for the first time what is it that we remember about them and why?
The paintings are also an exploration into physiognomy which is defined as a person’s facial features or expression, especially when regarded as indicative of character or ethnic origin.
