ARTIST STATEMENT:
The work ‘Out of Two Makes Three’ captures the beauty and simplicity of dye mixing. I wanted to record a moment of time before the dyes inevitably mix, and form a new colour. Conceptually, the two different dyes represent the blending of my emotional and intellectual self, swirling, mixing and changing to become an entirely new entity. It reminds me to live mindfully in the moment and appreciate the beauty of the now.
