THREESOME GROUP SHOW
ARTIST STATEMENT:
The “Conversation Dishes,” are inspired by the idea of a threesome within a threesome. Each plate has three characters, with the two main actresses being Marilyn Monroe, Cat Woman, and a Geisha, posing in ever changing boudoir settings. There is a direct reference to the cheesy quality found on old Pulp fiction book covers offset by the refinement of a porcelain Victorian table setting. These works are meant to inspire a conversation.
