Artist Statement:
The Three Sisters:
The power of three. It’s no accident that the number three is pervasive through some of our greatest stories, fairy tales, and myths. Which brings me to the story of the three garden sisters. Corn, bean and Squash. Corn is the strong and tall sister. She helps her sister the bean by allowing her to grow up her stalk. Bean gives corn the minerals she needs to grow healthy. Squash is the third sister. Her large leaves help keep the soil moist and prevents weeds from growing. The three sisters help each other and in return grow strong and healthy.
