Born in Tokyo in 1991, Yusuke Toda graduated from Tama Art University, Department of Painting, Department of Oil Painting.

Toda constructs his paintings from images of clouds, animals, plants, etc. sourced from media and pop culture. In his recent works, his paintings centre around a character named “YUM” which expresses Toda’s interpretation of how we, the viewers, engage with the environment around us, living in harmony with each other, interacting with each other with a will.
