Sckaro (Oscar Maslard) was born in 1985 and educated in le Havre.
With a father who is a graphic designer and photographer, Sckaro has always been attracted by drawing and the graphic arts. He naturally followed this path in the company of his brother Ratur (Arthur Maslard).Together they encountered wall art and met with Madkow, a graffiti artist from Rouen, with whom they created their first murals. They then founded the MV3 collective, painting with other artists all over France.
Since 2009, he mainly works the brush but keeps using the spray paint outdoor. His participation to various festivals of street art and its exhibitions in Europe and United states pushes him gradually towards an international career.
The representational Work of Sckaro questions about the influences of the classic pictorial genres in the modern paint of “street art”. His influences are mainly European and American (Sandorfi, Monory, Hopper, …), he takes his inspiration from the classic paint and its codes such as the drapes or the flesh to adapt them to the modern world with his experience of the graffiti. His directions are anonymous most of the time and the characters are always the main subjects. The hand, often his, sits the context and indicate the felt, the feelings of these anonymous characters. The direction is sometimes improbable, sometimes realistic but the character is often a central point in his work.
