Beauty that enhances people lives. That is the creative motive of designer and ceramicist Amanda Adomaitis. Adomaitis originally studied literature and this love of language, character and story informs her visual creativity today.  Educated at Central Saint Martins and the London College of Fashion, where she obtained her Masters of Arts in Fashion Design and Technology, Adomaitis’s career has seen her work in London and her hometown of Los Angeles where she is currently based.

The artist’s style can be described as colourful, organic and tactile. From her textile work to her ceramic creations, Adomaitis flair is decisive, quirky and fun. There is also a subtle femininity to her work despite the parameters of design and function being entirely gender-less, the work is nurturing and soft. Her sculptures feature whimsical versions of animals and mystical characters that we are all familiar with, whether these beings have been passed down through a enigmatic collective sub conscious or through the vessel of both fictional and non-fictional story telling.

Among her key achievements, Adomaitis has extensively studied in the academic arena of the Arts to establish sound theoretical understanding to all her creative endeavors, a quality that is evident in her skillful and refined execution. She has also featured in a preview show for Vogue UK.
