ARTIST STATEMENT
‘Knock Knock’ Who’s there?
A Shakespeare quote from Macbeth, wondering who is it that approaches. This quote summarizes the unexpected meeting or connection with others. I have witnessed and played out roles moving into peoples lives. Over time, as we get to know each other, our roles change depending on the individuals needs or wants. I believe my humanism to be true, present and faithful not only to myself but others. I’m hoping each piece transcends this honesty of emotive truth or connection.
So, just like Shakespeare revealing everyday truths in his plays, I wanted to relate or connect. I have found quotes that speak some similar truths and hopefully adds a Shakespearean depth to each piece.
