” A return to the “Off the Grid” collection that started my art career back in 2015, and a series that I hold close to my heart. It was so fun returning to my roots and playing with the combination of portraiture and landscape. I added people swimming into the visuals of the face and loved painting the relationship in the water of a young couple swimming. Swim is about being present in the moment and really getting back in your body again. It’s easy to day dream, think about this or that, look to the past or the future, but to be present and mindful sometimes means acknowledging our body as a vessel for our experiences in life. Swimming helps to ground ourselves back in our breath and bones and wash away the past and make way for the future.” – Beau B Frank
