Artist Biography

Brazilian artist Igor Villares Rosa projects his personal narrative through the unique aesthetic of his work. A self-taught artist, Villares Rosa employs various techniques that he has developed from years of exploration and experimentation.

There is a tantalising playfulness to Villares Rosa’s work that could well be inspired by his appreciation for sensory experience. Animals and nature, imbued with an urban edge, feature prominently, reflecting his time spent in the remote coastal village of Caraiva.

Villares Rosa’s art is a synthesis of his natural perspective fused with vibrant colours resulting in idiosyncratic and visually stunning pieces.

Represented exclusively by 19 Karen, Villares Rosa primarily works on a commissionable basis, creating bespoke pieces tailored to collectors and their spaces. His exclusive works can be found in the USA, Europe, and Australia.
