BIOGRAPHY
Emanuele Tozzoli, an Italian mixed media artist, fuse’s themes of abstraction, cubism, and impressionism to create ethereal, viscerally intriguing pieces. Rich in colour and emotive body, Tozzoli treats his creative process much like a writing a composition producing an awakened sense for the eyes.
With a background in music, and a painter sculptor father, Emanuele was bathed in creativity from a young age. His roots seem to have fine-tuned his senses, enabling him to be a thoughtful and multidisciplined artist capable of transcending the barriers of art, music and emotion to dance between them all.
Through the tactile use of acrylics, spray paint, oil pastels and collage, Tozzoli births many striking impressionist scenes, where portraiture meets symbolism, and cubism meets colour. Tozzoli describes his artistic process as an instinctual and organic experience. His rationality is abandoned as he makes connections with his primitive eye and allows himself to enter the flow. His colorful and conceptual works, give the viewer complete freedom of interpretation.
For Tozzoli, art is an “instrument of awareness and indispensable knowledge”, through unfiltered emotion he is able to communicate freely. Tozzoli is represented by international galleries including the US, Australia, UK, South Africa, Italy, Israel, Germany and has collectors all over the world.
